There are 2 options for having your video tapes converted to DVD. These are the standard archiving which involves
a basic 1:1 copy of your original material to DVD, and an enhanced archiving option which provides a range
of editing and customising options.
For important videos like weddings we recommend the enhanced process, as it
creates a much more professional looking DVD, similar to or in many cases better than what you would receive if you had your
wedding filmed today.
For real keepsakes, such as film of birthdays, anniversaries, christenings and award ceremonies,
as well as specially edited videos we also recommend the enhanced option, as it will ensure you get the best
value transfer possible.
For other home made videos in your collection, store bought VHS tapes, or tapes to be edited later, the
standard process will be the most cost efficient transfer.
We advise all customers to fast forward their tape for 3 mins and then rewind it to the start, to take up
any slack and to minimise the chances of tape damage during the transfer process.
Note that 1 DVD holds up to 120 mins recorded in Standard Quality (VHS tapes) and 60 mins in High Quality
(digital video tape).

Whether it's archiving hundreds of your digital photos, or collating all your CD collection onto one DVD,
the transfer is fast, efficient and affordable. Still have floppy discs lying around with valuable information
on them that you would like keep? Archive them today before floppy disc drives disappear forever.
Need to transfer video from a memory card or your Video Camera HDD to DVD? We can assist you with this too.
Basic copying of digital media is done with the standard archiving process and produces a computer
DVD (data disc). This is used for video, image, audio and other computer files. Storing all your images
on your Hard Disk is NOT safe! Hard disks crash and you lose everything. DVDs are a more reliable source
of backup. Ask about our professional-looking and easy-to-use menu-driven DVDs for keeping backups of all
your digital media.
The enhanced archiving process is used for digital video and creates a Video-DVD and includes a
range of editing and customising options. This is the recommended option for transferring your special video
memories, such as weddings, holidays and parties, straight to DVD ready to watch and enjoy.
Note that 1 standard DVD holds up to 4812 MB of digital data which is equivalent to 7 CD-ROMs
or 3340 Floppy Disks, and can hold around 75 Audio CDs, or 1295 songs, in MP3 format and over 10hrs of
video in DivX format. (Figures are approximate and averages).

There are many other things than you can save forever by digitally archiving them to DVD today. Whether it's
some old photos you would like scanned in and saved, or a painting or drawing from your child that you would
like to keep forever, these can be easily digitised and stored on DVD to view and enjoy again in the
future. Leave it too late, and the paper will deteriorate and the cherished item will be lost.
If it's a document such as a journal or article, we can also use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to
transform the document image into text - which can be easily printed, edited, and inserted into other documents.
Note that basic archiving of material is done with the standard archiving process and produces a
computer DVD (data disc). For photographs, we recommend you use the enhanced archiving process to create
a Video-DVD in the format of a multimedia slideshow, as described in the Photo Montage section of this web site.

FREE Pickup and Delivery
Virtuoso IT offers something that others do not - FREE local pickup and delivery!
We understand that some people are hesitant in mailing out their precious memories to someone they have never
seen, and hope that the mail arrives when and where it should. So, if you live within the Brisbane area
then we will happily pick up and return your items for FREE.
We are unique in offering this service! If you are able to take advantage of this service, then you
simply need to package your items securely. We will take care of the rest. We transport all items in a
strong, safe, and weather resistant container.
Standard Delivery
For other standard orders throughout the year, or customers outside the region of Free Pickup/Delivery, we
recommend sending your items to us using Express Post or Registered Mail from Australia Post. We will also use
this method, or courier, to return your tapes and DVD to you.
When mailing items we always suggest you carefully wrap each one individually in bubble wrap or
similar material, within the main package, for the item's safety in transit.
Fast Track Your Order
In a hurry? Need something done for a special occasion and you've left it to the last minute? No worries. We
offer a way to speed up your order. Simply add the following amounts for delivery within 2 working
days. (We recommend contacting us for further information before choosing this option to ensure it is possible
to have your special order completed in time).
- $10.00 ea. for the Standard Archiving process (normally 7 days)
- $25.00 ea. for the Enhanced Archiving process (normally 14-21 days)
